Hello OMZR readers
Thank you so much for your collective and individual encouragement over the years. There's nothing more rewarding than opening the mailbox and finding real mail & great zines to read.
I struggle over whether to write negative reviews or not of work that people send. Recently a well-known comix artist sent me a compilation book of their work. I forced myself to read it - every page. I've expressed in the past that comix are really not my thing (though I'll gladly read anything released by the Trees and Hills folks!) ... after reading the entire book only two words came to mind: narcissistic and shallow.
I'm asking for your opinion here.Should I write negative reviews? After all, this is my blog and I believe in free speech. Yet my policy has been to not write a review unless I have something that might be helpful to say. I am finally stumped as to find anything helpful to say about this book.
I also don't have the time or inclination to read everything that is sent for review, but I try to read and review 80% of it or more. Should I just post these publications with contact info without review or comment? Would that be helpful to readers?
Thanks again for your input.
